The grand reception is nice and the pool has a great view, but that's about it.
The rooms are dilapidated and the furniture is old and broken. The food is terrible. The staff is not very reactive to requests.

Excellent home base for a city break in Polonnaruwa! Can’t find anything wrong, the hotel suited the needs. We had no problems with Wi Fi in public areas. Easy access to Sigiriya Air Force Base airport, within 25 km:)))
Not one thing.

The hotel is located near a picturesque water source opening out onto a stunning vista of the surrounding hills. There are many restaurants and shops nearby to satisfy all your needs. the view from the balcony is breathtaking, and the room is clean and spacious, with daily linen changes.
The bathroom leaves much to be desired, as the water can be smelly and discolored at times.

beautifull view on the lake and a very nice loby.
For this type of rate charged by this hotel, internet/wifi should be free of charge. In cheaper hotels wifi is now a days most of the time free of charge, so this hotel is in the higher class, but charge you for internet. Breakfast should be improved. Price/quality balance is not correct taken the above mentioned points into account.

Great terrace with stunning views over the lake, perfect for relaxing. the hotel's location is convenient for visiting the historical sites and parks. Breakfast was also enjoyable, with plenty of options.
The bathrooms are outdated and need renovation. there is no available room safe for storing valuables, which is a downside for security.

GPS COORDINATES: spot on LOCATION: good for Minneriya Park and perhaps Pollonarruwa, great views from the balcony and terrace ROOM: spacious with balcony FOOD: excellent SUMMARY: This could be a great hotel should they renovate the rooms - it looks like it was not done for decades - old furniture and neglected bathroom.
Bathroom was neglected, room not renowated, the pool is not worth the plunge. The price is too high for what you get - would they at least offer a free internet to sweeten the deal my opinion would be slightly better (internet 250LKR for 30 minutes, lobby area only)

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at this hotel. The location on the banks of Giritale Lake provided stunning views, especially during the early morning birdwatching. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning. Additionally, the breakfast offered a variety of delicious local dishes.
No major issues, everything was satisfactory.

A beautifully quiet and tranquil setting. The staff were very personable, and eager to please. All the public areas were pleasant and the food was good.
On our first night we were the only people in the hotel, which was a bit weard in January! We had the "best room" in the hotel, but the carpets were stained, the linen was a bit "grey" and the bathroom had a mixture of old fashioned furniture colours. A small frog under the soap one morning was a bit of a shock!! It appears the hotel was owned by a family who, once the parents died, did not look after the refurbishment - they recently sold the hotel and the staff are optimistic the new owners will be more proactive. Oh, the tv channels were very limited.

We had a romantic getaway at a hotel by a big body of water. The view from our balcony was amazing, and we enjoyed watching the sunset. The breakfast buffet had good options and there was a live cooking station for fresh eggs. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was not clean and the bathroom was not well maintained. The bed had a large stain on the sheet which was disgusting.
